Studying is not the only way one can learn at Sri Guru Gobind Singh College of Pharmacy. Developing Life skills and getting involved in activities which help built confidence and character are just as important. Many of our students stepped out of the college environs and made their mark in a plethora of activities this term.
LITERARY ACTIVITIES
A number of literary activities like Elocution, Essay Writing, Poetry Recitation, Declamation and Quiz contests are organized to provide exposure and creative outlet for the students.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
The college calendar witnessed a host of activities including trainings, seminars, workshops and presentations for enrichment of faculty members. Prominent amongst these are:
1. A 1-day workshop on “UNIVERSAL ROLLOUT OF PUBLIC FUND MANAGEMENT SYSTEM†attended by Mrs. Neeta Kumar AND Mr. Rajeev Kataria at DAV College, Sec 10, Chandigarh.
2. A-1 Day workshop on “APPROVAL PROCESS 2018-19†attended by Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur AT AICTE Offices, New Delhi.
3. A 1 day workshop on “ROAD SAFETY†attended by Mr. Yogesh Kumar, Mr. Rakesh Kumar, Ms Kritika, Mrs. Vandana, Ms. Durgesh & Mr. Saurav at SGGS College of Pharmacy, Sec 26, Chandigarh.
4. A 1-day “E–GOVERNANCE /WEBPORTAL/WORKSHOP ON APPROVAL PROCESS 2018-19†attended by Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur & Mr. Darshan Gir at Punjab Engineering College, Chandigarh.
5. 2-days “NATIONAL CONFERENCE AIDSCON-7 TOWARDS AIDS FREE WORLD†attended by Mrs. NITU RANA at State Aids Control Society SEC 15, Chandigarh.
6. 1-day workshop On “COLLOQUIM & CAPACITY BUILDING RUSA WORKSHOP ON FAIZ AHMED FAIZ & TRANSLATION†attended by Mrs. Jaswinder Kaur, Ms. Kritika, Mrs. Vandana, Mrs. Shalini, Mrs. Amrinder Kaur ,Mrs. Neeta Kumar & Mr. Anupam at P.G. Department of English S.G.G.S College Sector-26, Chandigarh.
OTHER ACTIVITIES
To promote talent, creativity and innovative ideas of the students, a number of other activities like Poster making, Collage making, Singing & Dancing, Rangoli making, Skit, Flower arrangement, Turban tying, Kite Making and Face Painting, Mehandi Competitions etc. are organized for the students.
