The 56th National Pharmacy Week was celebrated on the theme, "Know your Medicines, Ask your Pharmacist", in collaboration with Apollo Clinics sponsored by State Bank of India on 20th and 21st November 2017. S. Gurdev Singh (Retd) IAS, President, SES was the Chief Guest and Col. (Retd) Jasmer Singh Bala, Secretary, SES was the Guest of Honour on the two

day Health Awareness Camp. Specialised doctors in their respective fields delivered valuable information and guided the students regarding commonly occurring medical problems and

various myths associated with these diseases. They also addressed the issue of safe usage of medicines. In all 7 sessions were held, out of which, 5 were with experts from outside. These included:

Dr. Manjeet Kaur on skin diseases
Dr. Tarandeep Singh on heart problems
Dr. Rishi Mangat on diabetes
Dr. KL Garg on stress management
Miss Monica Mangla on healthy diet
Col(Retd) Jasbir Singh Bala on Bhai Kanhaiya Ji
Mrs Ravneet Kaur safe usage of medicines

The sessions were all very informative, engaging and interactive leaving on students yearning for more. A free blood sugar testing, blood pressure testing and ECG facilities were also organised. A free consultation by all the specialised doctors was also available. A dedicated team of teachers coordinated by Mrs Ravneet Kaur worked very hard to make it relevant to address the current medical issues playing the society.
