The college held its “Annual Prize Distribution Function 2024” this year. Shri Ramvir, IAS, Secretary, PSBTE graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and Prof. (Dr.) Kawaljit Chopra, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University was the Guest of Honour. S. Gurdev Singh, President, SES presided over the function. Mrs. Ravneet Kaur, Principal, presented the Annual Report of the college highlighting various activities and achievements. More than 80 meritorious students were recognised and awarded prizes for their exceptional performances. The students also presented a colourful and vibrant ‘Cultural Program.’ A very soul-stirring and heartfelt recitation of the ‘Shabad Aarti’ opened the event. A heartfelt patriotic act was presented as homage to the Indian Army. Lazy dance performance showcased hilarious and comical relaxed moves that definitely made us all laugh and cheer up. With their thrilling performance, the Bhangra squad had everyone cheering. Col. (Retd) Jasmer Singh Bala, Secretary, SES, congratulated the students on their achievements and presented a vote of thanks.
The Annual Prize Distribution was held on 31st March 2023. More than 150 students were honored for their phenomenal performance & achievements in academics, sports, literacy and cultural activities. On this occasion three staff members, Mrs. Ravneet Kaur, Mr. Darshan Gir and Mrs. Ritu Nandwani were felicitated for completing 25 years of dedicated service at the college.
Welcoming the Freshers: In the year 2020, seniors welcomed the freshers online to the college. Singing and dancing competitions were organized for them. Videos of electrifying performances were uploaded and enjoyed by all. In the year 2021, students were lucky for the college opened for some time and a fresher party was organized. Young girls & boys, all seniors & Juniors were dressed aptly like showstoppers displaying a collection, bringing out the spirit of fun & frolic to life
An online party - a new concept emerged. It’s a different world - the digital world “You will always be in our hearts”. With tears and heavy hearts, juniors bid farewell to the outgoing seniors. Their friends and guides, saying goodbye and thank you, while wishing them good luck and success.
Celebrating 400th birth anniversary of Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji a book a Pictorial monograph on life and teachings of Sahib Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur ji was released authored by Prof Beant Singh and our senior lecturer Mrs Ravneet Kaur.A Sukhmani Sahib path was also organised to mark the occasion followed by kirtan and langar.
Celebrating 75 years of independence motivated by government various activities under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav were carried out. To name a few, fit India movement, Ek Bharat Shreshth Bharat have been started. It is a unique initiative of the government ministry of human resource development to promote unity in diversity.
Our union territory has been clubbed with Dadar and Nagar Haveli and our students showed great interest and enthusiasm in learning the culture of the state. Various activities collected under this include: formation of wall of unity, folk dance competition, language learning, cuisine competition, learning their art and craft, attire of the state competition. But fan never stopped. Online activities and competitions kept the students busy chiseling their creative side. Online Mehandi, salad making, rangoli, singing dancing poetry competitions were held. The students participated with great enthusiasm and didn't miss their daily dose of entertainment.
This year our entire nation is celebrating 75 years of independence as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. As part of celebrations, state Bank of India on the occasion of Teacher’s Day honoured Mrs. Ravneet Kaur for her contribution in the field of teaching pharmaceutical education. A certificate of excellence was given by Col.(Retd) Jasmer Singh Bala secretary, Sikh Educational Society. Our passed out student, Laxman, was honoured by the state government for administering maximum number of covid vaccination jabs. Truly a matter of pride for all of us.
